Participant Recognition Dinner host by The Bradford Lions Club at the Anthonian Hall in Lewis Run, PA
A fun day night was had by all.
Futures’ annual participant recognition banquet was held recently, with John Currie and Tom Miller being recognized for 40 years of service. Service awards were presented to 20 program participants.
The Bradford Knights of Columbus Lodge 403 hosted the banquet, which was held at the Anthonian Hall in Lewis Run. The Knights have sponsored annual events for Futures’ participants for 36 years.
Highlighting the evening was the presentation of certificates and pins to participants who have reached service milestones.
Bob Clawson was honored for 35 years service and Caroline Dunmire was honored for 30 years.
Tom Day, Jerry Youngberg and Jean Zumstein were recognized for 25 years service. Joann Cross, Brad Hulings, Kari Johnston, Shane Ludwig and Jeff VanScoter reached the 20 year plateau.
Fifteen year awards went to Dave Arnett, Rebecca Buccolini and Rodney Meyer.
Honored for 10 years were Charles Bradt and Brad Heffner.
Five year award recipients were Julie Boyle, Jeff Hurd and Jim Kibby.
David Arnett was posthumously honored with the Alan Kline Friendship Award, in recognition of his positive attitude and love of life. Georgia Grover received the Joan Park Friendship Award, in recognition of her kindness and caring for others.
The Friendship Awards were established in memory of the late Alan Kline and the late Joan Park, program participants whose enthusiasm, positive attitude and work ethic were an inspiration to all.
Participants who had achieved a perfect attendance record during the past year were also honored, as were participants who moved on to success in community employment.
Over 180 participants, families, friends, staff and members of the board of directors were in attendance at the banquet.
