Extended Employment
Extended employment services provide vocational training through work situations. In this environment, participants earn wages and receive training to improve or maintain work related skills. Individuals earn wages based on non-disabled production standards, but at a level which reflect each individual's ability. Extended employment affords the opportunity to improve existing skills, learn new ones and practice them in an environment which is less demanding than competitive employment. Over 100 persons receive extended employment services daily.
The work that is performed in our workshop is constantly changing as the needs of our industrial customers change. Below is a list of some of the types of work performed in our production workshop for our business and industrial customer:
- Assembly
- Packaging
- Clerical and mailing services
- Warehousing and drop shipping
- Labeling
- Salvage and rework
- Inspection
