This summer Futures’ Community Participation Supports program and OVR Employment Program began volunteering and completing community work based assessments at St. Bernard’s Church. Approximately two half days a week, participants maintain the cleanliness of the church. The volunteering opportunity teaches participants work skills needed for competitive employment while giving back to the community. Work assessments are completed to determine if a participant has the skills to obtain employment and to introduce them to the tasks associated with the job.  Pictured is Andrew Anderson, with the OVR program, cleaning the windows.
